Description

This is a great recipe for a busy weekend or weeknight night meal. This can be served as a roast with veggies, or make it into a sandwich.

Ingredients
  • 1 Beef Roast (I us a Chuck Roast)
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp Steak Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Diced Onion
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Avocado Oil
  • 2-4 tbsp Butter
  • 10 Pepperchinis
  • 2 tsp Mayo
  • 2 tsp Apple Cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Dill
  • 1/8 tsp Paprika
Instructions
  1. Instructions

Start with the rubbing the roast with the dry ingredients. Then in a large skillet or cast iron pour in your avocado oil until heated. You should be able to drop a few bits of water in the pan and it'll start to bubble.

Then place your roast in the hot oil with both sides seasoned. Sear on all sides for about 5 mins, don't forget about the edges of the roast they will need seared as well to lock in the flavor.

(You can skip the searing step if your in a hurry, but it adds a lot more flavor to your roast in the end.)

After searing all sides and the fat is rendered down with a nice brown color, add it to your crock pot with the rest of the wet ingredients.

Then turn the crockpot on low for 8 hours. If you have a larger roast you may need to do low for 10 hours.

Once your 8 hours are up you can turn off the crock pot and let it rest for about 20 mins before enjoying.

You can also add some veg into your crock pot to cook along with the roast, serve as a sandwich, or with your favorite sides.

    Enjoy!
